Floyd and Clea Under the Western Sky

Floy and Clea.... opened tonight. It has been a joy to work on this show. David Cale is as charming, endearing, and loveable off stage as he is on. I have admired Mary Faber from afar for awhile now. I always knew she was hysterically funny but to watch her give a performance of such power and vulnerability day after day was one of those great pleasures you get as a director. I don't think I'll ever forget the first read through of the show on the first day of rehearsal-- watching David and Mary just open up and give in to each other, barely knowing each other--- well I knew we were in for a great ride. Playwrights Horizons is an unbelievalbe place to work-- -such support in every way-- doesn't get much better.
